Blue Line Transportation Co. is a distributor of the EnviRoad® Earthbind® product line. Earthbind® is an environmentally friendly bio-based asphalt emulsion specifically engineered to efficiently and safely alleviate fugitive dust on unpaved roads. Unlike lignin and magnesium chlorides, once cured, Earthbind® becomes insoluble in water. Earthbind® works by binding loose soil or aggregate particles together, strengthening the soil and aggregate matrix and preventing even the smallest particles from becoming airborne as fugitive dust.
Earthbind® is a versatile product that can be diluted with water in different dilution ratios to accommodate a wide variety of soil conditions. Depending upon variables such as traffic count, soil and aggregate type, etc. Earthbind® concentrate is recommended at concentrations of 0.075 to 0.15-gallons per square yard. The Earthbind® concentrate is then mixed with water, typically at rates of 4 to 6-parts water to 1 part of product concentrate and applied in one to three successive applications using a water truck or CRC distributor truck. The total amount of diluted product applied is approximately one-half gallon to three-quarters gallon per square yard. Earthbind® can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. via LTL, truckload or railcar. Smaller quantities are shipped in 260-gallon tote bins. Depending on the application rate, 260 gallons of concentrate will control dust on an area of 15,600 to 31,200 square feet.
